Came To Me

When I tell you about us child, about the years about to come
The era of living hope, and the shoes we wear upon our feet
The type of clothing we meant to keep neat, the funny faces that we meet, come to me

She is so beautiful, a breathing, living waterfall, I tell you she is too good for me
Although she stayed by me, her arms interlocked around me, around me
I get goosebumps when I hear our song, it's what I wanted all along
She arrives to church dressed in purple, and I pray her beauty won't strike me down when I gaze upon her crown
It took some time, but she became mine and I'll never let her go

Our dance made the angels weep, sing of peace
She loves me, warms me like a winter fleece
Don't be so shy, and never wonder why, I'll show you
Believe me when I tell you love grows greater with age, think of this wine
It's sweet aroma fills your soul, lifts and shine, lifts and shine

Projected pictures fly by, on screen decades in a flash
So much time has pasted, but love never selfish, never in a mad dash
Love like us, us... such a beautiful honor to hold
Sitting on this wooden pew, in this old brick church,
Promise you will sing honestly, let love lead your search

Now my love, lets dance and make it last, relive the first time you had me in a trance
Let me tell you everything you mean to me, give you what you need oh bring you to me
